Wonder Woman makes Trinity?

It was announced on December 4th, that Wonder Woman has been cast in the Superman/Batman movie with Henry Cavil & Ben Affleck in the respected roles, Casting has been already made and former model and Miss Israel - Gal Gadot who appeared in Fast Five and the Fast 6 (Fast & Furious Franchise) has been selected for the coveted role. Filming of the movie has already began and is over a month into production as from the date of this posting.

 The Speculation, the appearance of Wonder Woman could be just a cameo, or it’s an origin of how the trio first meet. Since news broke sales of the Graphic novel ‘Trinity’ spiked, it’s the DC collected story arc of how Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman met, and can be the source material for Zack Snyder’s very top secret script. In either event, it has been confirmed by Warner Studios that this film will set in motion for the future Justice League movie.

Interesting side note; Warner studios and DC Entertainment had planned an earlier version of the Justice League, but it was comical and a lot more watered down in comparison to the Avengers franchise and winning formula; In addtion coming off a successful Christian Bale Trilogy; with the final installment 'The Dark Knight Rises' approaching, Executives nixed the project. Some confirmed actors attached to the now defunct Justice League version was the O.C.’s Star Adam Brody as the “Flash”, Rapper/Actor Common as John Stewart “ The Green Lantern”, and exotically beautiful newcomer Megan Gale as “Wonder Woman”.

In addition; NBC attempted a couple of years ago to green light a pilot of Wonder Woman, but confidence was low and they failed to pull the trigger. Compound that, with the box office slump of the Green Lantern movie, and the rationale had become - by bundling potential characters to a strong vehicle such as Snyder’s Film may be the only way to secure both consumer confidence on buying into the up and coming Justice League franchise and assuring Executives keep their Hollywood jobs through till 2015.

2009 Anmiated Movie

A slight re-tooling of the character has been introduced in 2013, on the ongoing smallville series in comic book form. After the CW series went off the air, Season 11 began in comic books, and the introduction of Wonder Woman began in a 4 issue arc called Olympus.  Finally, in 2009, a straight to DVD / Blue Ray Animated movie titled "Wonder Woman" and voiced by actress Keri Russell was released, it is confirmed that the animated movie will play no part in the Zack Snyder's construct.   Since director Zack Snyder’s movie is predominantly the Man of Steel 2; Actors from the original movie will be returning Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane will reprise their roles. The film release date has been confirmed for July 17th, 2015.

After the Tumultuous year of 2020,  Director Patty Jenkins and Star Gal Gadot have agreed to sign on for one more Wonder woman movie making their interpretation of the Amazonian into a theatrical trilogy.
